Loss of Committed Jesuit Mourned
August 23, 2006: “When good men die, their goodness doesn’t perish.” said Mr. Charles Furtado, President of Sahodaya, the outreach programme of the
St Aloysius College, during a condolence prayer meeting in memory of Bro.Loy Manohar Fernandes who passed away in a tragic accident on 18 August 2006.
Mr Furtado remembered Loy as a faithful student and committed Jesuit. Loy was purposeful in his life and was gifted with a sense of humour. He was secular and good with everybody. He had a flair for story-telling and always had an active and enraptured audience.

Rev. Fr. Eugene Lobo, the Principal also churned out memories of Loy as a dedicated young Jesuit. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. The staff and students present observed two minutes silence to pray for the departed soul.
