29 April. The Campus is abuzz with activity, what if it is a Sunday? ICFAI & AIEEE examinations were held. Good many teachers were seen the campus, besides over a thousand students.
We had some young Jesuit Brothers in the Campus to learn something about basics of media and soft skills like how to conduct campus, tips for leaders… Yours truly spent a day with them analysing a Kannada classic and then sharing some tips on conducting group activities…

By the way, SAIE (B.Ed. Institute) has already started two weeks ago. Classes are going on nicely. Lot of life on the other side of the campus – In the multi story building of Industrial Training Centre (TTI, formerly), along the Bunts Hostel – PVS Building Road.
25 April. There were interviews galore at SAC for the various teaching posts at SAC. Where as some had good many candidates, a few were much in demand.
Let us hope, we will have some good lecturers in the coming years, so that our students benefit much from their mentors…

Among the 298 studentswho appeared for the final exams in March, four failed to make it to the distinguished list, whereas the remaining 294 came out with flying colours. The percentage is expected to go higher still, since there are two bright students who have marked fail will be applying for reevaluations.
Hearty congratulations to the Headmaster Fr Gilbert and his staff. Well done students! Wish you a very bright future

But be prepared for jammed lines! I already tried and got jammed!
It may be recalled that during the last year, the minister had goofed up a lot, by unilaterally announcing that the results of PUC would be declared, and the results were postponed many a time. And when finally they were declared, there more errors than the correct data! It had led to desperation, suicide of a few students, and widesprea condemnation from the public.
This time we hope things are moving in better direction. And everything will be fine!
24 April. Please don’t forget to update yourself with the information on admissions to the college You will find the information on this very blog in the “Admissions 2007-08″ page. Just click and see the info.
By the by, PUC admissions will be open from 2 May 2007.
20 April. It was a holiday today on the occasion of Basava Jayanthi, the birthday of Basaveshwara. He was 12th century saint born in north karnataka, who revolutionised society in Karnataka. Born a brahmin, he fought against the same caste system; one of the founders of Veerashaivism, which initially preached and practised a casteless and egalitarian society.
That meant, we have a holiday all over Karnataka. And SAC, of course, did not have the usual sprightliness …
