St. Aloysius Gets Autonomy

23 May. It is official. It is final. The government of Karnataka has granted autonomy to St Aloysius College, Mangalore.

Though the College has been working towards it for the few years, and has been a pioneer inĀ  this regard, as in most regards, there it had to face many hurdles. UGC Autonomy team was very happy with our College and its infrastructure. But other lower mortals found it too diffiucult to part with our College!

St Aloysius College will function autonomously from this academic year (2007 June). Six other colleges join in this new run of being autonomous.
