ASSOCIATION OF ENGLISH TEACHERS GET TOGETHER AT SAC

A Workshop was conducted for all the English teachers who come under mangalore university at St. Aloysius College, Teletorium Today.

75 English lecturer’s from various colleges were present for this event.

Professor A. Lourdusamy, Association President welcomed the gathering and introduced the theme of the workshop.

Syllabus of 3^rd and 4^th semester general English and 3^rd and 4^th semester optional English was discussed. Dr. Madhav Bhat, Professor Shakira and Dr. Gereline Pinto were the resource persons for the workshop.

 

 

Professor Samaga who served as the principal of MGM college Udupi and retired recently was felicitated in the workshop.

 

Return to Devotion……….

It was nice to see the cool boys and girls of Aloysius humbly praying and singing praises to the lord in the annual retreat which was conducted yesterday and today.

A huge number of students were present and their active participation showed us their enthusiasm.

The Retreat was conducted in Loyola hall by Br. Johnson Sequeira from Mumbai for all the 1^st 2^nd and final year catholic students.

His Words, preaching’s and testimonies has touched many students and many have testified that the retreat was a wonderful experience.

The Melodious Music by Br. Joe kept everyone’s spirit up and every student was found clapping and enjoying the breath taking Hymns.

Mr. Thomas was the local organizer and The Campus Minister Rev. Fr Francis Almeida was the college organizer for this retreat.

 

 

Simultaneously another retreat was held for the Final Year B’Com students in the teletorium by Rev. Fr Rony Prabhu .
 

Personality development classes were held for the final year non catholic students yesterday and for the 1^st and 2^nd year non catholic students today. Teachers of our college conducted these classes.

Altogether this retreat and the personality development classes refreshed the students as it brought a change in their regular schedule. Tommorow the regular classes will continue.

It’s the Aloysians Day

            It’s a great day for all the Aloysians as today is the feast of  their patron, St. Aloysius of Gonzaga after whom the college is named.

 

Classes were not held with regard to the Feast. All the Catholic Students of PUC and Degree had to attend Mass in the Loyola hall.

         The Eucharistic Celebration began at 9:00 in the morning. Rev Fr Roque D’Souza SJ was the main celebrant.
