St. Aloysius College Celebrates the 128th College Day on Friday the 29th of February at 5:30 p.m on the St. Aloysius College Grounds.

The Programme began with invoking Gods Blessings through a Melodious Prayer Song Sung by the college Choir followed by Pushpanjali a welcome dance.

Justice N. Santosh Hegde (Karnataka Lokayukta) was the chief Guest, Rector Rev. Fr Francis Serrao SJ, Principal Rev. Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ, Convener Professor S.S. Bosco, Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo SJ & Student Council President Dhiraj Sequeira were other Dignitaries who were present on the dais.

Principal Rev. Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ addressed the gathering. He spoke about the New Courses started in the P.G and also introduced the New Staff members of this year. His Speech was followed by a LCD Audio Video Projection of the Annual Report Containing the various College activities conducted during the academic year 2007- 2008.
(Professor Raghavendra Swami was incharge of the LCD Projection)The College Choir gloriously sang the College Anthem followed by the introduction of the Chief Guest by Campus Minister Rev. Fr Francis Almeida SJ.
While addressing the gathering the Chief Guest advised the students to keep their desires within their limit and also said that our education only makes man to focus on becoming a successful person but today all we need is humanity and he continued by saying that students after their studies should work for the betterment of the country and not only for money.
Rector Rev. Fr Francis Serrao SJ thanked the students for all their efforts in bringing up the fame of the college and Fr Principal for his hardwork and finally for the parents whom he called as the strong foundation of the college. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony.
The students put up a wonderful show of their talents. The evening followed with the cultural programmes and finally concluded with the national anthem.
