The MBA, MCA and MSc Bioinformatics students of the college witnessed a grand celebration of their graduation on November 1 with the Graduation Day, held in the IT auditorium.
Fr. Francis Serrao, Rector of St Aloysius institutions declared the ceremony open.
Mr. Santhosh Rebello, Dean of AICS welcomed the gathering and termed the ceremony as an ‘occasion for the institution to send its ambassadors to the world’. Fr Denzil Lobo, Director of AICS presented the annual report where in he highlighted the various activities and achievements of the students and the staff. The audience was also given a glimpse of the upcoming campus in Ullal. The certificates were handed over to the students amidst grand applause. The oath taking ceremony was a solemn pledge by the students before they ventured into their professional arena.
Shri Ananthakrishna, CEO and Chairman of the Karnataka Bank was the Chief Guest for the memorable occasion. He spoke effectively on the need to eradicate greed and limit one’s desires. He also dwelt on the current resilience of the financial sector and expressed hopes that it won’t be subdued for long.
Fr Swebert D’silva expressed his immense happiness on the occasion and Mr P. G. Aquinas, Dean of AIBA proposed the vote of thanks.
