Bang Goes the Degree Day

The Degree Day cum Traditional Day beagn in an emotional tone. A second year student representing the degree students of the college thanked the third years for their love and support. A few third year representatives in response to the gratitude given to them shared their three year experience in college. The event began in the right note.

The man behind the event, a source of inspiration and support for every event in college Rev Fr Swebert D’Silva spoke on the occassion.

Degree report was read out to an audience that proved to be the best ones present. The Katte bubbled with students who turned out in large numbers irresepective of the hot sun. After all it was THEIR day.

Certificates were given to eligible students in the merit, attendence and co curricular activities categories. Student Council memebrs also received certificates.

True to the name of the event some students turned up in their traditional attire adding more colour and meaning to the event.

The much awaited segment of the Degree Day is the cinematic dance performed by students. Students send energy impulses throughout the audienec when they tapped their feet to songs of various languages- Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, English and Malayalam. What better proof for ‘unity in diversity’?

No activity in college where so many students gather is complete without ‘Baila’. This time though differing from the usual style of recorded songs being played, live band engaged the audience.
