Admissions Rush at St Aloysius College

12 May. Come PUC results and the Degree college gets new life. Thousands parents and students seeking admission to various under graduate courses throng the college. Yesterday (Monday) was no different;  if fact, it was a greater rush. You could see serpentine queues in application registration office and also interview with the Principal.

For now, the courses most in demand are B.Com, BBM, BCA, and Journalism with Computer Animation in Arts.

In the meantime, another place in the College is bustling with teacher activity: valuation of under graduate examinations of Autonomous College.

Sitting the exams... deeply engrossed in solving the question papers.. Post Graduate students have begun their even semester semester on 11 May.

St Aloysius PU College Gets impressive Results

10 May. St Aloysius Pre University College, Mangalore, has secured 97% results in the March 2009 exams. That is out of the nearly 1700 candidates who sat the exams, roughly 50+ candidates failed to clear it.

St Aloysius Evening PU College has secured 58% results.

St Aloysius PU College Harihar also has secured 97% results in its third year of (outgoing batch) existence. Hearty congratulations to all.

On 11 May, end-semester exams will commence for the Post Graduate students. All the best wishes to the students.

Autonomous College Governing Body Meeting

8 May. The St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Governing Body met this morning to discuss various issues relating to the policies of the Management.

The autonomous scheme students (first & second year UG) have just completed their end-semester exams. It’s break time.

The University scheme (Final year) students have a few more days to go before they call themselves “Graduates” – till the end of May.

Just then, admissions to the Under Graduate courses are about to begin – PUC results are expected on 9th (web) and 10th (on College notice boards). Monday onwards will be busy days ahead for the College with under graduate admissions.

Applications for the Post Graduate courses are also being issued in the College. Those who are not in Mangalore and want to have the applications, can send a DD to the Principal with a self-addressed and stamped envelope.

As we have our semester exams on May 11 and are at present having revision holidays, we may not be able to upload the college blog.
