The Elections for the Student’s council for this academic year was held on 27 June 2009. The event began with the Election Commissioner Dr. Norbert Lobo addressing the gathering. The candidates spoke of their intentions and aspirations if voted to power. The candidates for the post of President were Darryl Gerald D’Souza and Prewan Savio Mascarenhas. The five contenders for the post of secretary were Heeral Blen D’Cunha, Jeeth Stallon Lobo, Lynel Jason Lobo, Nichola Nancy Pereira and Roydon D’Souza. Daphny D’Souza and Pruthvi D’Souza contested for the post of Joint – Secretary. The counting of the votes was held in the second floor classrooms of the Administrative Block. After five rounds of counting Daphny D’Souza, Jeeth Stallon Lobo and Darryl Gerald D’Souza were declared the winners for the posts of Joint – Secretary, Secretary and president respectively.
