It was talent unleashed in the Aloysian campus at the “Campus Stars” competition sponsored by Aircel and Radio Mirchi on July 1. The College auditorium was charged with the energy, excitement and enthusiasm of the youth gathered there. RJ Ashok from Radio Mirchi kept the spirits of the students high throughout the entertaining sessions.
Students were randomly called from among the audience and asked to exhibit their talents. Students sang, danced, mimicked and did all they could to showcase their skills. After the preliminary selection, the finalists were asked to display ‘something different’ to the august audience. In a fun-filled finale, Saranya Valsarajan of II year MCMS (Master of Communication & Media Studies) and Jalesh of II year BA Journalism became the Campus Stars.
“I was just sitting in the audience out of curiosity. I had never expected to participate. And when it came to the finals, I just did a mimic of Lolakutty. It was a very lucky win”, said an elated Saranya. The winners were presented a trophy and a music CD each.
