The inauguration of the Hopkin’s Literary Association as held on 13 July 2009 at 4:15 pm in the Xavier block auditorium. The Chief Guest of the function was Prof. Shankaran Ravindran of the P.G. Department of English of St. Aloysius College. The inauguration was marked by the lamp lighting ceremony. The Head of the English Department, Prof. Lourdusamy and the President of the Association Mrs.Namratha Hegde were also present. The Secretary of Hopkins for the year 2009 – 2010, Deepali Mallya was also introduced to the gathering.
Kannada Sangha, Tulu Koota and Nataka Sangha held a meeting in the teletorium on July 14, 2009 at 12 noon. The agenda of the meeting was to divide the students into groups. The program was introduced by Prathvi.D.C, the secretary of the club. Some of the members introduced themselves and spoke about the Kannada Sangha.
