10 May 2009. Admissions to Degree (UG) courses will commence on 11 May, since the Karnataka PUC results are out. In case your results are not yet declared, please don’t wait for them. Come with your Pre-Boards marks. You can submit your 12th standard mark cards and other related certificates when they are ready. Since some courses have very heavy rush, it will be late if you delay now!
Post Graduate (Masters) courses – have already shown signs of being busy. Applications are available in the College office. You could collect and submit them filled in . Please, once again, wait for your University results. This year, the College will not wait for University results to be declared. The first years will begin their classes in the first week of July.
Master of Communication and Media Studies (MCMS, formerly M.S. Communication) will commence classes for the new comers (I Years) on 29th June, and not on 30th. We have a big public programme. Hence we begin a few days earlier. So, get ready!
27 Mar. 2009. Another academic year is back. Are you looking for new avenues? St Aloysius College (Autonomous) with NAAC “A” has a lot to offer.
Besides B.A. with umpteen programmes, B.Com, B.C.A, B.B.M, B.Sc. (plenty of combinations), B.S.W., and PGDCA, PGDBM, the College offers 15 post graduate courses.
Masters or post graduation in Mass Communication is a novel course, in demand for its quality and dedicated staff, besides good study/ learning atmosphere and facilities.
The admissions will be open in April. Applications will be available in the College office (phone: 0824-2449700; 2449701) and on the website www.staloysius.edu.in. You can download your application and send it in filled, with the required DD in favour of the Principal, St Aloysius College, Mangalore.
Most of the courses -including M.S. Communication- will have entrance exam. The entrance will be conducted in the first week of June, when the students will be just free after writing their under graduate exams.

Entrance tests to Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and MSW are over. But there are still more students who want to take exams – those who could not attend them this week. M.S. Communication, M.Com, M.A in English, M.A. in Applied Economics, and M.Sc. in Counselling and Holistic Psychology are going on.
M.S.Communication has 3 specialisations offered in the second year (III & IV semester). Broadcast Journalism/ Media, Corporate Communication, and Print Journalism and New Media are the prized specialisations of our College; apple of our Dept of Communication dept. The first year is common to all the students.
Presently, we are in the process of constructing an Audio Studio – for Community Radio. A Bangalore technician has been given charge of this. Next in line is another Production Studio for Audio, and another for Television studio. You will be the proud pioneering batch of this noble mass communication department; you will create history. Come, be a part of it. You will create history, and other will recall you!

Ms Ansi Thomas, we are really sorry; your message escaped our notice. Getting a seat is a possibility. Admissions begin on Monday 11 May 2009, after the PUC (Karnataka) results are announced on 9th. Have you already applied? If not, please do so immediately. If you are in Kuwait, ask someone to get an application, fill it up, and register on your behalf; please submit your pre-boards marks for consideration.

Prospectus of BSc: I am sure, when you took the application form, you would have got. If not you must come and get it from the office. Prospectus alone cannot be sent. They come with application.

Is it for Post Graduate (M.C.M.S./ Mass Communication) course or Under Graduate (B.A.)?
For UG, one general section (which used to come with many subject combinations) is full. There are only a few seats left in the Journalism – Computer Animation – English combination.
For MCMS, admissions are just open. You can still take an application, fill it in, and register. That could be done by the end of this month.
