10 July. Here is a piece of information for the students of Mass Communication (MCMS): your classes – both 1st & 2nd years – begin on 18 July 2011. Whereas the 2nd years will right away begin with their classes in the 2nd years class room, the new comers will gather in the Eric Mathias Hall, in the PG Block at 9.30 a.m. for a formal inauguration.
Other post graduation courses (seniors) commence their classes on 11 July, and the freshers on 18th.
The difference is because the Mass Communication students spend ten weeks in summer internships, to learn the tricks of the trade from the industry’s perspective, too, thus test their mettle first hand in the professional field.
